Gwinnett County Fair

Finally after the 2 weeks straight (or so it seemed) of rain, there were two nice days in a row. So we decided to take Parker to the fair last night. We had so much fun! It's funny that your definition of "fun" changes when you become a parent. Used to Steven and I would stay at the fair for hours and hours, riding rides, walking around and hanging out with friends and would say that was fun. This year, we spent almost 30 minutes in the 4H petting zoo alone, walked around and just looked at lights and ate a funnel cake and we had so much fun. The petting zoo was worth the trip out there just to see how much Parker loved it.

We started off by looking at the livestock. I kept saying "those are the biggest cows I have ever seen!" Well, they weren't cows, they were oxen (haha who knew?!). Parker now knows how to say "mooooooo" when he sees a cow, its so cute.

Then we hit up the 4H petting zoo. Parker ran around like a little maniac from thing to thing touching, petting, squealing and clapping. When I was getting him dressed to go I kept saying, "Parker do you want to go to the fair to see the ducks?" and he would nod and say "duck duck". We spent a good 30 minutes in here just watching him look and pet all the animals.

After we left the petting zoo we just walked around for a little while and let Parker look at the lights and all of the people. Then we let him play one game, where you pick up the ducks and you win a prize based on what you pick up. Well Parker didnt care about the prize, so he threw it on the ground and did a 180 to head back to get another duck. That's why Steven's cracking up in the picture.

Then we ran into Steven's sister and niece, or as Parker calls her "my baby".

Ahhh and the best part, right before we left we got a funnel cake. I was so excited for Parker to try one because Steven and I love them so much. Well, he did like it, but he only took a few bites then he wanted to eat his goldfish that I had given him earlier.

This was right as we got in the car to head home, he fell asleep literally two minutes later.

Of course the sleep he got on the way home was just a nap apparently. We got him home, in his pj's and put him right to bed. About 45 minutes later he woke up and was up for 2 hours.
