Busy Weekend Part 3!

Sunday was a pretty relaxed day for the most part. It was stormy all afternoon, so we just hung out around the house and watched movies. Being able to relax was nice, especially since Parker decided to stay awake running around mommy and daddy's room from 11:30pm-1:30am. For the first hour I kept all of the lights off, hoping that he would go back to sleep. Around 12:30am I decided to put on Monsters Inc (his FAVORITE movie that we watch 3 times a day) to see if that would settle him down, nope not a chance. Finally I just went and put him back in the bed at 1:30 and he slept the rest of the night only waking up twice.

But Sunday night we went to Stars and Strikes for Courtney's belated birthday party. $2 bowling, $2 shoe rentals, $2 some foods, $2 laser tag, and $2 beer :) We took up two lanes, and it took up an hour and a half to play one game, especially with all the kids, but it was so much fun! Parker got to bowl with me everytime and LOVED IT! He was cracking up and clapping the whole time :)

He thought he was strong enough to pick up the bowling balls lol.

Parker really enjoyed rolling the balls back and forth.

Mya bowling, it was so cute!

The kids, Cade, Parker, Savannah and Mya. Oh, and I took all of these kids to the potty BY MYSELF, and all of them needed help buttoning and zipping while I was holding Parker. Note to self, take backup next time!

Playing games in the arcade, he LOVED IT!

Busy Weekend Part 2

Once we got home from getting Parker's haircut, we tried to put him down for a nap...wasn't happening. So I cut up some fruit for a fruit bowl I was taking to my Aunt's 60th birthday party, got presents together, then had to try to load up the car. Okay, I have a 2004 Nissan Sentra, which is a very small car. We fit a full sized radio flyer wagon, Parker's lil quad (four wheeler), a cradle, 2 birthday presents, Parker's diaper bag, my purse, Me, Steven, Parker, 2 fruit bowls, and a large marble cheese tray with the cheese ball on it (that went in my lap) in my car! We were packed like sardines!

We got all packed up and headed into Athens to the Varsity to pick up 30 hotdogs for the party. Steven went inside to get them and Parker fell asleep again (thank goodness!). He slept the rest of the way to the party and I closed my eyes and took a 20 minute nap too :). We got to the party at about 5:20 and unloaded.

The party was so much fun. That side of my family hasn't gotten together in a very long time, so we all really enjoyed it.

Once we got home at 9:20, Parker was in bed by 9:30 (not for long though, but I'll get to that in the next post) and we were in bed by 9:45!

BUSY BUSY WEEKEND!! Part 1

This past weekend was a very very busy one to say the least! Friday night my dad came over to visit, and we got Little Ceasars and let Mya drag him all over the place :). Parker was up about 10 times during the night Friday night so I was EXHAUSTED. He is sick, and couldn't breathe with his paypay in his mouth...that he has to have in order to sleep. Ugh, see the vicious cycle? So I got up, went and weighed in at weight watchers, went to Kroger to grocery shop, came back home to throw the groceries in the refrigerator/cabinets and quickly make a cheese ball, then we headed out towards the Mall of Georgia to get Parker's hair cut.

Of course Parker fell asleep on the way to get his hair cut, so I decided to run into Kirklands in the mall to pick up a present for my friend Courtney and my cousin Casey. As soon as I walked into the mall Steven called me saying Parker was awake and they were headed in. I finished up shopping and we headed around the corner to get his hair done.

He was doing SO WELL in the playroom, I thought that maybe, just maybe, this time he would enjoy himself. They had animal crackers, suckers, toys, and he even got to sit in a firetruck. BOY WAS I MISTAKEN! He acted straight up rediculous! He screamed and cried, snot was flying everywhere, I was terrified the lady was going to snip off the top of his ears or part of his fingers. Everytime she touched him he THREW her hands away, he ripped off his clothes cover and threw his paypay across the room. EMBARRASING to say the least, but I did feel bad for him too. He doesn't completely understand the stranger touching him thing yet, so I hope it gets better when he gets older.

Here are some pictures of him at Pigtails and Crewcuts, and I will finish up telling our busy weekend story in the blogs to come.......

Playing in the playroom waiting to get his hair cut.

Before the complete meltdown.
After the meltdown, his sucker and face and hands and and and had hair all over them because he refused to wear his "cape".
Handsome though huh??
