Extended Family

Some of my Dad's side of the family was in town this weekend for my cousins wedding and we got to spend some time with them and have dinner on Friday night. They had not met Parker or Mya before, so it was nice catching up and enjoying one another over a nice yummy dinner!

Sweeeeet Summer Time!

This summer we have spent a LOT of time at the Riverwalk YMCA pool. Almost daily sometimes (I love working from home!) and the kids are having the BEST time. They are both like little fish. The only time we can get them out of the water is when its time for lunch. We go about 10 and dont leave until at least 3. It has been a nice, relaxing way to spend our days this summer!

Aurora Theatre

Today we met Mandi, Robert and Abby at the Aurora Theatre in Lawrenceville for a "clown circus act" for young preschoolers. They had lots of cool tricks and Parker really enjoyed it. Abby on the other hand, only made it until she saw the fire and had to go sit in the lobby because it scared her, poor thing.

Picnic at the park with some of my favorite people!! Jessie, Mya, Parker and I met Amanda and Emma at Tribble Mill Park for a picnic lunch and some playtime. OH MY GOSH was it HOT outside! We ate our lunch, but not in the peace and quiet, we were surrounded by ducks the entire time. Little ducks I can handle, but when the gigantic beast geese came around the corner I started freaking out, especially since they were chasing people around "yelling" at them! Mya was standing a few feet away from our picnic table eating some chips when they headed her way. She froze and said "OH SHIT THAT GOOSE IS GONNA EAT ME!!". We of course were shocked with what she said, but couldn't help but be hysterical with laughter and she slowly and methodically backed away! We can't wait to go back and do it again, but hopefully with a little less heat next time.

While Steven was home this time, we spent a nice, breezy, warm day at Fort Yargo Park in Winder. We had a yummy picnic lunch, and then walked down to the beach area. Parker was fully dressed, but decided to go play in the water anyways (good thing I brough extra clothes...I learned my lesson in the fountain at the Mall of Georgia). The hardest part was trying to get him out of the lake. He spent almost an hour just walking around picking up rocks and sand and throwing them back in the water.

Mother's Day 2010

So, my third Mother's Day has come and gone. Boy I wish I had gotten more pictures! We started at Golden Corral, because that's where Steven wanted to go (hmm, Mother's Day?) but he was only home for a few days, then back out on the road, so I was happy to oblige. Plus, Mom and Randy met us up there, and the food is always so delicious. Afterwards we went out to visit Steven's MawMaw and see his family. It really is hard to believe that I have been a mom for 3 entire years. Where is the time going? It feels as though someone hit a fast forward button on my life the second Parker was born. But oh what an adventurous, amazing 3 years it has been!

As I was posting about the birthday parties for both Mya and Parker, I decided to go back through good ole shutterfly (which now houses over 3,000 of my pictures since 2005, ah!) to find pictures of each of their birthday days. I will start with Mya, next post...Parker.

March 16, 2006...this was the first time Uncle Steve got to hold her.


2007...One year old birthday party at Gaga and Randy's old house.


2008, about 3 weeks before Parker was born. Her second birthday party at JumpZone in Loganville.


2009, Her third princess birthday party at Aunt Ted and Uncle Steve's (wow what a change from 2 to 3!!!)


2010, Fourth Birthday Party (just family, big party was at ChuckECheees) at Gratis park.
