Saturday Gaga and Randy came over so that Steven and Randy could work on building some walls down in our basement while we (me, mom and the kids) went to weight watchers, the dollar store, hobby lobby and chick-fil-a. They were having Kids Day at Chick-Fil-A and Mya really enjoyed getting to make a necklace and watch toy story while we ordered and waited for our food. By the time we got back home one wall was built and it was nap time for Parker.
About 3:30 we headed up to Lake Burton for Tara and Jacob's wedding. We are never on time anywhere, ever (no joke) but actually got there at 5:10 and the wedding didnt start until 6. I was concerned about the kids on the way up there because of the windy mountain roads, they were fine, but I got pretty queasy and was very glad when we got there.
The wedding was very nice, and the restaurant where the reception was beautiful. The kids really loved looking at the fish and the boats since it was in a marina.
Neither Mya nor Parker had seen Jessie in a while, so when she walked out Mya started clapping and waving. Parker started yelling "I WANT AUNT JESSSSSSSSSSSSS, I WANT AUNT JESSSSSS!!" I had to jump up with him and run to the dock so that he didn't ruin the wedding. Steven followed with Mya very shortly after and then the bride and groom's daughter came right after that because she wanted to see Mya. I have to admit it was pretty funny.
By the time we got home it was 10pm, Mya fell asleep immediately in the car and slept all the way home and didn't even wake up when we put her in the bed. My son on the other hand, threw his paypay and screamed and whined and cried and laughed the whole way home. He was pretty exhausted when we put him in the bed at 10:15 and he slept all night long.
I wanted them to pose in front of the wooden pillar, yeah that didn't work out too well.
At the reception. Mya was VERY popular with the kids. Steven and I ended sitting at a table with Parker (18mths), Mya (3), Brooke (3) and Hailey (2) ALL WITH STEMMED GLASSES and we were the only adults until Jessie and John got there! Tell me how THAT happened!!
