Washington Farms

This year we of course waited until the coldest and most windy day of the season to date, to go to Washington Farms in Watkinsville to get our pumpkins and to do the farm activities. We met up with my Mom, Jessie, John, Mya and my cousin Mandi, Robert and their daughter Abby. Even though it was very cold, we still had a great time. The kids loved the hayride and all the animals and the cold didnt seem to phase them in the least bit.

Mom, Jess, John and Mya left once it started to get dark and the rest of us decided it would be a good idea if we took Abby (who had just turned 2) and Parker through the corn maze. SO WRONG!! It was a terrible idea!! The first 20 minutes or so were fun, and we were all laughing. Then once we realized that we werent even half way through an hour into it, I started to panic and everyone else was grumpy too. Carrying two kids through dark corn at night in the cold is NOT RECOMMENDED!!! I don't know what it is that I thought we were going to do? Maybe during the day time the kids could have gotten down and run? But probably not because there were so many adults. Who knows, but we will NEVER make that mistake again. CORN MAZE = TORTURE! So of course, Parker started freaking out and crying at one point...so I made it my mission to get us the hell out of there. I found a guy that worked there and told him we needed out NOW. He walked us back to the entrance (since we were closer to that than the finish, gah!) and we basically all ran for our cars and never looked back! Hahaha, we all laugh about it now, but it sure was not funny when we were in the middle of CORN HELL! It will be a fun story to tell the kids when they get older though, and we had a great time up until that point :)

Here we are about to enter CORN HELL.
