Update on Parker

I just wanted to give a little update on the things that Parker is doing these days.

He is still mostly crawling, but "walks" a few steps (for the first time on March 19th) on his own before he "hits the deck" because he can get to where he wants by crawling so much faster.

He says several words: BaaBaa (Bye Bye) and waves, Dixxxx (Dixie), Mama, Dada, Aa Dessss (Aunt Jess), Muuah (Mya), Miiiiee (Mickey...he LOVES mickey mouse), GaGa,

He has started pointing at things if he wants them. His favorite to point at is the lawn mower that he wants to ride every single day lol! If I ask him where Momma's nose is, he will point to it.

CLIMBING, he climbs on EVERYTHING! He has a tonka truck that he climbs in and out in and out of and squeals to be pushed around. He has a little lego table that he will push under the window in his playroom and climb up on so he can look outside. He also will climb into laundry baskets and laugh at himself.

He LOVES to share dog food and water with Dixie. That is the hardest thing to keep him out of unless we pick Dixie's food up when shes not eating (which would be impossible bc shes a "free feeder" and has been for 7 years almost). He love to play in her water bowl so were getting him a water table for his birthday. And he actually does put the dog food in his mouth, so I have to DIG it out constantly.

He goes to bed between 9-10 evernight, and at this point does NOT like to be rocked or held when he goes to sleep. Steven and I turn on his monitor & noise maker, turn out the light and kiss him and put him into his crib. He then just rolls over and cuddles up with his blankie and paypay and goes right to sleep. On weekdays I have to wake him up at 7:30 so we can leave, but on weekends he sleeps usually until 8:30-9.

He has 6 teeth! 2 on bottom and 4 up top. And BELIEVE me, he WILL bite you lol!

His hair is my color and grows so fast! Hes gone to have one haircut and pretty soon will be needing another.

He LOVES bathtime, and so does his Daddy. They usually do bathtime while I'm cleaning up the kitchen from dinner and getting his food ready for the next day. I can always here them both cracking up at eachother. (He's learned to climb out of the tub too...oh joy)

Parker and Dixie really enjoy each other these days. At first neither one of them knew what to think of the other. But now, they chase eachother, Parker climbs all over Dixie, and his first word was actually DIXXXXXX...hmm go figure. Maybe Dixie's fondness has something to do with the fact that Parker constantly throws her food while hes eating.

He stopped taking his bottle completely at 10 months. If I came close to him with a bottle he would start screaming and throw his hands in front of his face. He does get formula in a sippy cup twice a day with breakfast and lunch, and at dinner he gets whole milk which hes done really well with so far. So, taking his bottle from him was no problem, his paypay(pacifier) I have a feeling is going to be a huge ordeal.

The kid is a human garbage disposal. There isn't anything that I've found that he does not like to eat. He loves everything and eats A LOT! For example at Friday's the other night, he ate a ton of cheerios, 3 crackers and raisins waiting for his food to come. Then he ate a WHOLE kids sized mac n cheese, and about 15 french fries.

It really is very hard to believe in many ways that my little bity baby is doing all of these things and will be ONE year old a week from today. But then again, it feels like he has been in my life forever and its hard to remember a time without him. He has fit into our lives so perfectly. It really should not be possible to have so much love in your heart for one tiny human being. He amazes me every single day and is the light of my life and I am one LUCKY woman to get to be his MAMA!
