Thanksgiving 2009

This year we loaded everyone/everything up again and headed towards a cabin in the mountains for thanksgiving. Steven and I were the last ones up there because we had to wait for Steven to finish his trucking school for the week (he's going to school to be a truck driver!!) We rented a cabin in Dillard for $300 for 4 nights. The cabin was beautiful and so very nice, but it was FREEZING outside, so we basically had to stay in doors for most of the time. My mom brought both of her dogs, who one in particular really hated Dixie and wasn't too fond of the kids either, so that was a little stressful and my mom and step-dad ended up leaving Thanksgiving night to go home, leaving the Morrow's and the Farrow's for the rest of the time.

They really enjoyed playing in this area upstairs because there was a car racetrack that Steven set up and he was enjoying playing with as well.

Of course Parker loved playing on this swing which made me a nervous wreck. 30 feel behind them was the ROOF of the neighbors house. Where the black ends, its a serious drop off.

Mya was helping me cook on Thanksgiving morning. She is my sweet little helper.

We were all waiting on lunch time.

At a scenic overlook on the way up the mountain.

My boys looking at the fish in the pond out front.

I bought them a special "fizzy" drink for thanksgiving lunch and Mya had been waiting on it for DAYS!

CHOW TIME

Parker had eaten so much I thought he might explode. But if we took his plate away he would FREAK out.

He told me "Mama, my bewwy"

Gaga and Mya in the hot tub. I have a picture like this from last year too. Maybe next year Parker can get in with them.

View from the front porch.

After lunch, everyone was exhausted and needed to relax.

Steven and Jessie were the only two to catch a FISH!

On Friday we traveled down the mountain for a few hours of fun at the Dillard house. Mya was old enough to get to ride a horse and boy was she excited! We spent a lot of time at the petting zoo area, the animals were so crazy about wanting to get their food! It was so nice and a great memory.

This bull was so crazy! Look at that tongue. Eww it was slimy and disgusting!

There is a picture of me, sitting on this exact same fence when I was about 4 years old. Steven made the mistake of getting a Dr. Pepper from the vending machine, so the only way I could get a picture of him sitting on the fence was to hand him the drink.

I love these!!!
